We have created a fixed price list for the Repair Deal to ensure you receive fair payment.

With the REPAIR DEAL, we want to make repairs easy and worthwhile—for customers and repair shops equally.
Payment is fair: all businesses can receive the same amount for the same service. This is based on a repair price list, which is based on our previous research and serves as a recommended price. The aim of the price list is to promote fair and sustainable prices and to help businesses present the value of their work in a transparent manner. However, this price list is not set in stone. During the project, we can adjust it together with you if certain prices are no longer current or need to be optimized.
Take a look at the list and feel free to give us your feedback! Your input is crucial in ensuring that we can make repair prices fair, transparent, and sustainable.
How can my repair shop participate in the Repair Deal?
You can simply register here or send us an email at repairdeal@circular.berlin.What requirements must my repair shop meet in order to participate in the Repair Deal?
What requirements does my repair business need to meet in order to take part in the Repair Deal?
To become part of the Repair Deal, you must meet a few requirements. These include performing invisible jeans repairs, having a location in Berlin, a valid email address, a business license for repair and finishing services or alteration tailoring, and agreeing to the terms and conditions.
Why should I participate in the Repair Deal?
When you are part of the Repair Deal, you not only support the project and our environment, but also enjoy direct benefits. New customers will visit you, you will gain more visibility through our marketing campaign, we pay a higher average fee per repair, and we are building a strong network of fashion brands and repair shops that you can continue to benefit from in the future. We also offer you the opportunity to cooperate with us during our Repair Days and thus be part of Berlin-wide events. In addition, you get exclusive access to market data on product features, consumer behavior, and repair service providers—for the joint development of a sustainable repair system.
Why is there a price list?
As part of the development of a repair price calculator for our A-Gain Guide project, we conducted a study that shows that repair prices in Berlin are currently too low to be economically viable in the long term. On this basis, we have developed a system to calculate fair minimum prices for repairs. This forms the basis for the Repair Deal price list. This price list sets maximum price per repair service within the framework of the Repair Deal and also serves as a price recommendation, if current prices in the shops are lower. Since alteration tailors and repair shops are indispensable for responding to upcoming EU regulations and retaining customers in the long term, we would also like to consider this aspect in the project. Customers are often unaware of fair prices or perceive them as too high, which is why the Repair Deal also aims to educate and raise awareness in this area. According to a study by the A-Gain Guide team, Berlin repair shops work an average of 6 days a week, 9.5 hours a day, just to cover their costs. We want to change that!
We welcome feedback throughout the project and are always interested in adjusting the price list. Our top priority is to establish a bonus model that also brings economic added value to repair shops.
Can I continue to charge my own prices?
The price list sets the maximum price per repair service i.e., higher prices should not be charged within the scope of the project. If your prices are below our recommended price level, you can continue to charge customers lower prices and must indicate this clearly on the invoice. Since customers receive a price reduction for the repair through the bonus, we would like to encourage businesses to take advantage of this and raise their prices for jeans repairs within the scope of the project.
How exactly was the price list created?
The price list was created based on a study we conducted on repair prices in Berlin. For the Repair Deal, we then worked with various repair shops to compile a list of the most important denim repairs. In the final step, their current prices were compared with the fair prices we calculated in order to determine the optimal Repair Deal price.
Can the prices be adjusted?
Each company is free to charge a lower price. The price list specifies the maximum repair price. We want to pay all businesses a fair and reasonable price for their work, so we are open to feedback and do not rule out adjusting the repair price list during the course of the project. If the prices are not right for you yet, please feel free to contact us at repairdeal@circular.berlin.
Can I also accept repairs that cost more than €100?
Yes, you can also accept repairs that cost more than €100, but you should inform customers that they will only be reimbursed up to a maximum of €50.
Why are my personal details requested during registration?
We require some personal information in order to organize and process repair orders in a legally compliant manner, for example, to transfer bonus payments to you. We naturally take data protection seriously. All data will be treated confidentially and used exclusively for the purpose of organizing the project.
Why do I need to show my business license and ID card? What happens to these documents?
The business license serves as proof that you are officially operating your business and are trained in the field of repairs. The ID card is only required for identification purposes when setting up your account for the payment process. We do not make copies or permanently store sensitive ID data.
Where can I login and access the platform to document the repairs?
On our website, the button in the top left is called Repair Login. Click on it and you will be redirected to the repair platform. Enter your email address there. You will then receive a code by email, which you must enter. You will then be logged in.
