How long is my voucher valid?
After receiving the QR code, your voucher is valid for 30 days, but you must redeem it by November 30, 2026, at the latest.
How many items can I have repaired with the voucher?
You can have one pair of pants repaired per voucher. After you have filled out the feedback form, you will have the option to have another pair of pants repaired.
Can I go to any repair shop once I have received my voucher?
With your voucher, you can visit any repair shop that is part of the Repair Deal project. It is not valid for all repair shops in Berlin, but only for the partner businesses on our map. Here you can quickly and easily find the right shop for you. Simply select the shop that suits you best and show your QR code on site. If you want to be on the safe side, you can also make an appointment in advance.
What items of clothing can I have repaired with the voucher?
Currently, you can use the Repair Deal voucher for jeans/denim pants of all kinds.
Why is it so important that I fill out the feedback form after my repair?
The Repair Deal is part of the EU project Solstice, so we urgently need your feedback to gather important information. In this project, we are all working together to gain new insights in order to develop strategies for a circular textile economy. The aim is to reduce textile waste and restore the value of clothing. However, this can only be achieved with your support!
I am not satisfied with the result of my repair. What can I do?
The best thing to do is to first consult with your repair expert and try to find a solution together. If this does not work, please contact us immediately by email at repairdeal@circular.berlin.
The repair is significantly more expensive than I expected. What can I do?
We use the information you provide to determine a fair price for the upcoming repair, but the price may change once the repair technician has assessed the damage. For example, you may have overlooked some damage, or the damage may be more extensive than expected. If you still find the new price too high after the consultation at the repair shop, even after the discount, you can simply leave your voucher unused and are not required to have the repair done.
My pants have more damage than I can select online, what now?
That's probably not a problem. Just indicate the three most significant areas of damage online and show the repair technician on site the additional damage. Together, you can then discuss what the repair would cost and what type of repair would be worthwhile.
Why is the maximum discount budget €50?
Since we want to make repairs possible for all Berliners and we only have a limited budget available, the maximum bonus amount is set to €50 per person and repair. But don't worry, this amount is usually sufficient to repair a pair of pants without any problems.
Can I still use the Repair Deal if the repair cost exceeds the maximum of €100?
Yes, you can still use the Repair Deal and receive a €50 bonus. However, you will have to cover the remaining costs yourself, which means you will save less than 50% of the original amount.
The REPAIR DEAL is part of SOLSTICE, an EU-wide research project that develops model solutions for a socially fair, climate-oriented circular textile economy.
Berlin is one of four European pilot regions where strategies and blueprints are being developed that can also be applied in other cities and regions. In addition, a comprehensive social and environmental life cycle assessment is being carried out. The results will be incorporated into a joint policy paper that formulates recommendations for political framework conditions for sustainable textile management.

Who is behind the Repair Deal?
The Repair Deal is a pilot program run by the NGO Circular Berlin and is being implemented in cooperation with FixFirst. The project is part of the European SOLSTICE project, which aims to develop transferable business models for a circular textile economy. During the 3.5-year project period, circular strategies will be implemented, tested, and analyzed in four European regions with the aim of applying them in other cities and regions.
Why is the Repair Deal only available until the end of 2026?
The Repair Deal is a pilot project within the European SOLSTICE project. The project is limited in terms of time and funding, so we can only offer the Repair Deal until the end of 2026. However, our main goal is to establish a permanent repair bonus for clothing in Berlin, and the Repair Deal is an important first step in this direction.
Where does the money for the repairs come from?
Circular Berlin is a project partner of the EU SOLSTICE project and is implementing the REPAIR DEAL within this project framework. We obtain the money for the cost reimbursement from the SOLSTICE project funds, which means that the REPAIR DEAL is financed by the European Union.
How can I contribute to the Repair Deal?
As an NGO, we have very limited resources at our disposal, so we are always grateful for any kind of support. You are welcome to become part of the community here and support us beyond the Repair Deal. If you are a company, association, or foundation and would like to explicitly support the Repair Days, please contact us directly at repairdeal@circular.berlin to sponsor Repair Days. We would be delighted to have you on board as a sponsor or cooperation partner and, with your support, enable even more repairs in Berlin!
What happens next?
After the 14 months in which we actively operate the Repair Deal, a Social & Environmental Life Cycle Assessment will be carried out in cooperation with our SOLSTICE partners. These results will then be incorporated into a joint policy paper that formulates recommendations for political framework conditions for sustainable textile management. Circular Berlin is pursuing an open-source approach: project data will be made transparently accessible, and the technical solution is designed to remain integrable and scalable for partners.
